Ragini Bhasin is a filmmaker from India who studied her Masters In Film Directing from Chapman University. She is the recipient of Meredith MacRae Award in 2018 sponsored by Women in Film. Her thesis film, Ghazaal which she developed in the prestigious Aotearoa Short Film Lab in New Zealand revolves around a young refugee experiencing her period in a refugee camp. Currently, she is working on her first feature film which is a coming of age drama at 55, inspired by real-life events, which she plans to shoot in her hometown.
Kevin Wang is a film producer and a graduate from the M.F.A Film/TV Producing program at Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts. He currently works at Skydance Media. Kevin believes that film has a strong influence on shaping one’s world perspective, and is a strong tool to convey human emotion, evoke inner resonance, and impact lives. He hopes to become a content creator that could bring value to the advancement of Asian American community.
Connor J. Vickers
Connor Vickers was born and raised in Sonoma, California. He discovered filmmaking at the age of eleven thanks to Sonoma’s legendary Sebastiani Theatre, skateboarding, and schoolteachers encouraging filmmaking in their curriculum.After receiving his Bachelor’s in Digital Filmmaking from Ex’pression College in Emeryville, California, he worked freelance in the Bay Area before moving to Southern California to pursue his Master’s in Cinematography at Chapman University.
Emma Wang graduated with an MFA in film production from Dodge College of Film and Media Arts. She discovered her passion for storytelling in her undergrad years when she was pursuing a bachelor degree in Finance. She edited a popular web series “Selected Original” in China that has over 1M views per episode. After coming to the US, her enthusiasm for storytelling was finally matched by her dedication to the craft of film editing. She has edited 6 narrative short films and 2 documentary shorts that have played various festivals. Her latest documentary ‘Ladylike’ is selected in Nashville Film Festival and Burbank Film Festival.
Lixuan Yang is a film production designer /concept artist. She graduated from Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts in Production Design. She has designed 7 short films as a production designer. Previously, she has obtained a degree in philosophy and a degree in BA from China. She hopes to become a concept artist in the future.
